ExpensePilot ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We understand that your financial information is sensitive, and we treat it with the utmost care and respect.
Offline-First Architecture: ExpensePilot is designed with privacy at its core. Your expense data, budgets, and transactions are stored locally on your device by default. We don't access, collect, or process your financial data on our servers unless you explicitly choose to enable cloud sync.
Cloud Sync (Optional): If you choose to enable cloud backup, your data is securely encrypted and stored using Google Firebase. This is entirely optional and at your discretion.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties. Information may only be shared with trusted service providers (Google Firebase, Google Play) or when legally required.
Your data security is our priority. We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures. Local data is encrypted using your device's built-in security. Cloud data uses end-to-end encryption.
Full Control: You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time directly through the in-app Delete Account option in Settings. Once deleted, all synced data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Local Data: Data stored on your device can be removed by uninstalling the app or through your device's settings.
Google Firebase: Securely stores encrypted backups if you enable cloud sync.
Google Play Billing: Handles subscription payments securely.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy here and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the app indicates acceptance.
